MY DRIVER is artist, illustrator and children's author Karina Goodman who works from Studio 61 on the edge of The Peak District. Studio 61 ran as a commercial studio gallery for 11 years until moving to a woodland hideaway and she now has more time to spend with me, her writing, painting and Bruno "the gallery dog". He's joined us on many adventures and loves travelling. There's also more time for trips away in my big brother Freddy (who is also a VW but he's got a big fixed bed and is much taller than me!).

Karina is writing and illustrating two new children's books, both set within The Peak District and loves making up stories for her children's workshops. Her first children's book, published in 2015, started as a surprise for her mum's 80th birthday and ended up in The National Libraries and Waterstones. “Hippity Hop and Friends was such an important part of my childhood and my own children’s childhood, that as a special gift for my mum’s 80th birthday, my daughter Katie and I captured her delightful stories in words and paintings."
Karina loves working with children as she's still one at heart and enjoys being with them. As a full-time mum, whilst Katie and Harry were at pre-school and then primary, she was employed by Notts County Council as a Pre-School Playgroup Worker and then Derbyshire County Council as Playground Supervisor and After School Club Assistant at Lea Primary School.
I miss the children now they have grown up so I am so excited that we are going to be working with young ones again.
